Douglas Ray Scott

Douglas Ray Scott (Sr.), age 86, passed away on September 16, 2018, in Monroe, Wash. He was born on July 7, 1932, in Hill City, Kansas, to Dale and Margaret Scott. A PFC in the U.S. Marine Corps, he served in the Korean War. On July 1, 1955, he married Pauline Dial. The couple were members of St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church in Monroe. His special interests and hobbies included watching (spoiling) his six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren as they grew, using his golden voice to sing country music, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years (Paula), son (Douglas Jr.), and daughters (Tina Marks, Tonya Brewer, and Kimberly Scott). Burial will take place at 1:30 PM on Monday, September 24, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash. In lieu of flowers, Doug and his surviving family ask that memorial charitable gifts be sent to Life Decisions International, P.O. Box 439, Front Royal, VA 22630.
