Edward “Cheeko” Boucher, born August 25th, 1945, in Seattle WA, departed this life on August 2, 2026, at the age of 80.
Cheeko was a graduate of Sultan High School and later enlisted in the Army, serving in Vietnam. He then returned to Sultan where he started a rock crushing business with his father. Years later, he purchased the iconic Dutch Cup Restaurant, continuing to provide local jobs for many and a place for the community to gather with friends and family.
He is survived by his life partner, Leanne Court, daughter Chere McKnight, sons Dustin (Shelby), Brady, and Corey, grandchildren Wesley, Cody, Robert, Rochelle, Devan, Sienna, Kylie, Courtlynn, Taylor, and multiple great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Dolly and his oldest son Derek.
A lifelong resident of Sultan, Cheeko loved the natural beauty of the Sky Valley, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, and exploring the area. He was a devoted family man and a loyal friend to many.
Though life must inevitably end, love endures, for the presence of those who are gone remains just a memory away, always ready to continue providing us with comfort, wisdom, and guidance.
A funeral service honoring Cheeko’s life will take place at 11AM on August 10th, 2026, at Purdy & Kerr with Dawson Funeral Home, Monroe WA.
