Gary Albert George, of Monroe, departed this life on May 1, 2025 in Kirkland, WA at the age of 87. He was born July 8, 1937 in Seattle, WA. On September 8, 1956 he married his wife, Earlene. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. They moved to Bellevue in 1957, where they lived for 46 years, before moving to Monroe. He worked as a police officer with the Bellevue Police Department for 32 years. Gary is survived by his daughters, Cheri George of Everett, Debbie Kennison (husband Tim) of Arlington, and Janis George of Tacoma, and his grandson Tucker Kennison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene, and his brother, Larry. A funeral service honoring Gary’s life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00AM at Purdy & Kerr with Dawson Funeral Home, 409 W. Main St., Monroe, WA 98272. Visitation will be from 9:30AM-11:00AM at the funeral home.
