Born in Toddville Iowa, Hulan devoted his life to family, service, and art. After serving as a company painter with the 83rd Engineers during the Korean War, he built a career as an engineer, science educator, and ultimately a professional artist. in 1958, he married Jean Wallis, and together they raised 3 children: Brent, Aline, and Carolee. Known for his luminous paintings, Hulan reflected a lifelong passion for beauty, adventure, and the wonder of God's creation. His legacy lives on through his family, his artwork, and the many lives he touched. A Memorial Service will be held at the family home on July 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
