

Irene Margaret Dooley, 94, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. Born on March 4, 1931, her residences included Redmond, Kirkland, Camano Island, and Bothell, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Dooley, in January, 2017. She is survived by her four children, James (Nona) Dooley, Colleen (Glen) Chandler, Joan (David) Duignan and Nancy (Mike) Sexton. Additionally, she is survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Irene met her husband, Jim, in an Ethics class at Seattle University. They married shortly after, living mainly in Kirkland, WA along with a few ambitious moves to Southern California. After their retirement, Irene and Jim spent their days at their Camano Island property, fishing and crabbing. Irene’s favorite part was the eating of the crab they caught and admiring the view of Puget Sound. Her other passions included raising her four children, playing bridge, and helping others with tax preparations. She will be remembered for her devout catholicism, matter of fact views, and infectious smile. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the RLS foundation.
