James was born on January 8, 1958 to Leroy and Ernestine Van Camp in Seattle, WA. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2021 in Everett, WA. He was 63. Jim was very social and enjoyed conversations with everyone. He opened his own winery, Van Camp Cellars, in Snohomish and spent much time enjoying every aspect of wine making and enjoying the fruits of his passion. James also enjoyed cooking and pairing the food with wine, fishing, woodworking, reading, collecting all things Batman, and bringing a smile to those around him. He attended First Baptist Church in Everett. James is survived by his wife Deanna, son James Van Camp II, daughter Carmen Hintzman and her husband Damon, 6 siblings Cherie, Kathy, Donna, Kenneth, Daryl and Nancy; Grandchildren JD Van Camp, Savannah Jones, Michael Van Camp, Liam O’Malley, Jack O’Malley; great grandchildren Maliyah Van Camp and new addition Avalynn Noffsinger, and many friends who he cherished including Bob and Sherri Jones who lived daily life beside him. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Brian Shawn Van Camp, his brothers Butch and Michael as well as his sister Helen Scoles. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held on August 1, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Everett at 4:00pm.
