Jared Robert Skeith, 50, of Monroe, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 24, 1975, in Dallas, Texas, Jared lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a deep love for his family, students, athletes, and community.
Jared was the owner and operator of his own landscaping business, where his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he served as an Ag teacher at Sultan High School, where he inspired countless students through hands-on learning and mentorship. He was involved with the Sultan High School FFA Chapter, helping young people develop leadership skills, confidence, and a passion for agriculture.
A devoted coach, Jared shared his love of sports with generations of local youth. Jared coached many sports: basketball, baseball, cheer, football, and volleyball. He was the recent assistant baseball coach at Sultan High School and assistant basketball coach at Sultan Middle School, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of his athletes through his encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support.
Above all else, Jared was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, instructor, coach, and friend. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and steadfast dedication to those he loved will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jared is survived by his loving wife, Sarita Whitmire-Skeith; his son, Josh Whitmire-Skeith; and his daughter, Kamryn Skeith. He is also survived by his parents, John and Jeannie Skeith; his brothers, Jerel Skeith (Amie), Jacob Gourley (Marie), Jonathan Skeith (Kim), and Jordan Skeith (Sophia); as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, colleagues, former students, athletes, and friends.
Jared's legacy of hard work, compassion, mentorship, and service will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered forever.

A memorial service will not be held as Jared did not want this journey to be about him and chose to be cremated and ashes spread in Maui.
