Joe was born April 22, 1969, in Everett, WA, to Duane and Merrily Wiltse. He entered this world at Providence Hospital, through the caring hands of Dr. Nelson. Joe grew up in Fall City, WA, and Monroe. He experienced farm life on his family's farm just east of Monroe. The family raised butcher hogs and Joe and his brothers each had pigs of their own, which Joe really enjoyed. His mother, Merrily, remembers Joe being a handful at times, sometimes “just having too many brains for his own good.”
He was quite the dreamer, inventor, and talented handyman who loved to travel. Joe was forgiving and always eager to lend an ear to anyone who needed it. He always had the right things to say and wanted the best for all who crossed his path.
Joe was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Monica Boylan (David), son, Caleb Wiltse, mother, Merrily Wiltse, brothers, Duane “Tige” Wiltse (Kelly), Carl Wiltse (Janet), Eric Wiltse (Darla), and granddaughter, Layla Boylan.
Joe was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service celebrating Joe’s life will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at Startup Seventh-day Adventist Church, 35808 Old Sultan Startup Rd., Startup, WA 98293.
