Kimberly Jean Drake

Kimberly was 56 years old; she died November 4th, 2013 @ 5:40pm. Kimberly was born on February 22nd, 1957 in Perry, OK. Kim was a strong individual who could accomplish anything she put her mind to.

She graduated from Hazen High School in Renton, WA and Green River Community College in Auburn, WA, studying Occupational Therapy. Kim was passionate about people, always encouraging and supporting those she loved; she was well known for her selflessness and positive attitude. Kim was very giving and she was equally loving toward animals, adopting pets and family members everywhere she went. She was a stay at home mother, homemaker and wife for 12 years, and was an absolutely shining beautiful example of everything a woman should be.

Kim leaves behind her husband of 31 years, Gregory Drake and daughters Leah, 27 and Lacey, 26 as well as acknowledged adopted daughter Robynn Lowery, whom she loved as her own.

She is survived by Mother Shirley Palmer, and younger brothers Kendall Palmer and Kelly Palmer. Kim is expecting her first grandchild (Lacey’s), a boy due in March of 2014.

Kim worked for the last 10 years at the Gold Bar Family Grocer. Kim was known as a dedicated employee who always had a smile on her face and was nothing but courteous, kind and helpful to those she encountered on a daily basis.

Kim spent the last 15 years of her life in Gold Bar in love with the Skykomish River where her ashes will be spread.

A Memorial Service will be planned and is pending currently.
