Lucy M. Wolter “Lu” lived her entire life in the Monroe/Sultan area. She left her loving family on Sept. 29th, 2011.
“Lu” was born to Arthur and Amanda Odell on March 2, 1915 in Monroe, WA, the second of five children.
She was very creative; composing music, writing poetry, playing the organ and piano. Later in life she enjoyed entertaining groups with her Hawaiian dancing. Lu was a member of the Monroe Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her faith was a central part of her life. She worked for the Seattle Times for several years but her greatest joy was her six grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband Art.
Survivors are daughters, Darlene (Joel) Rohlinger of Woodinville, WA;
Six grandchildren, Dr. Debra Wickman of Chandler, AZ; Cindra White of San Diego, CA; Robert Wickman of Altadena, CA; Stephen Wickman and Kimberly Russek of Scottsdale, AZ and Chandra Lange of Carlsbad, CA; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one brother Dr. Don O’dell of Rialto, CA.
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Oct 6, 2011 @ 12pm Monroe Seventh Day Adventist Church, 14118 Chain Lake Road, Monroe, WA. A reception will follow at Sky Valley Adventist School @ 200 Academy Way, Monroe, WA.
