

Mildred "Millie" Woerner Weyland, born October 16th, 1920 in Peoria, Illinois, died January 17th, 2021 in Ossining, New York, at the age of 100. Raised as one of seven on an Illinois farm, Millie grew up very close to her parents and siblings. The loving mother of eight children, Millie was a kind and generous woman who never lost her enthusiasm or optimism. She loved baseball, bridge and traveling all over the world, including China. Seattle, Washington was her chosen and adored home, and she cherished the panoramic view from her First Hill apartment. Millie was sociable and outgoing, with many friends who she kept up with over the years. The life of any party, she valued good food and wine. She spent her golden years with her beloved daughter and caregiver, Ruth Weyland, in Ossining, New York. Millie's recent 100th birthday was an exciting milestone and a point of pride for her.
Millie is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Christine (Kieser) Woerner, siblings Marie (Schick), Louis, Edgar, Emma (Taylor), Alvin, Lillian (Dallinger) and her husband Norman F, Weyland. She is survived by her eight children: Nancy (Bill) Strecker, Nicholas (Lisa) Weyland, Ruth Weyland , Margaret (Paul) Feiss, Teresa (Mel White) Weyland, Frank and Paul Weyland, Carol (Michael) Sabourin, ; five grandchildren, Bridget Neale, John (Holly)Neale, Meaghan (Alan Paulk) McKenna, Ellen and Anna Feiss; nine great-grandchildren, Carly, Jasmine, Talulah and Leo Neale-Paris; Devin and Brady Neale; Nathaniel, Oliver and Madeline Paulk
Due to current restrictions, Millie will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at GAR Cemetery in Washington State. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made to Emusoi Center, Maryknoll Sisters, Box 317, Maryknoll, NY 10545, in memory of Mildred Woerner Weyland.
