1937-2025
Pauline B. Scott, 87, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, in Kirkland, Washington.
Born on December 12th, 1937 in Grand Junction, Colorado, Pauline lived a life rooted in love and compassion. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Douglas R. Scott. Together, they raised four children—Tina, Doug Jr., Tonya, and Kimberly. Their love extended even further when they adopted and raised their granddaughter, Tiffany, whom they adored like a daughter.
Pauline pursued her dream of becoming a nurse while raising her family, supported by Douglas, who proudly put her through school. Her dedication to her work and patients left a lasting impact on many, and she was deeply respected in her field. She often mentioned how much she missed it even years after her retirement. She also helped Tiffany when she decided to become a foster parent, helping care for the children who needed the love she could provide.
Pauline was an incredible cook—her spaghetti became a legendary favorite among her grandchildren. She also had a soft spot for Jersey Mike’s subs and McDonald’s strawberry shakes. She enjoyed watching Outlander, reading as many books as she could, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever she could and cuddling her cats.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, in 2018. She is survived by her children Tina, Doug Jr., Tonya, Kimberly, and Tiffany, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward with love.
She will be laid to rest with her husband on their anniversary, July 1st, 2025 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
In her memory, please live with love, selflessness and help others whenever you can.
