I'm heart broken to hear of Rich's passing. I met Rich and Jeff in 5th grade when I had transferred schools, and we became fast friends. A typical summer was spent riding our bikes, playing video games at the arcade and Atari at home, an occasional game of dungeons and dragons, and highly competitive nerf basketball games held in the Dalton's home court. We could be found listening to his AC/DC record collection, or haunting the local Putt Putt mini golf nearby. While Rich and Jeff relocated while we were in junior high, we kept in touch randomly over the years. Rich was a true friend, a person I could depend on, honest, sincere, and of the greatest character. While we lost touch many years back, I have no doubt of what a great man he grew up to be, and I can easily imagine him as an incredible father and family man. The world has lost a great sole, and I send my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I know you were selfless and strong in your fight, so rest easy my friend and God bless you and your family.
