

She was born in Posio, Finland on January 21st, 1934.
Saima was just 18 when her entire family moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada, where she met Karl Ojalehto.
Karl and Saima were joined in holy wedlock September 12, 1955. They lived apart for a short time waiting for Saima to receive her official papers to move to the States, where they made their home in Longview, Washington and in the mid 60's moved to Woodinville, Washington.
They were blessed with fourteen children, numerous grandchildren here in the states and Finland, and a dozen great grandchildren.
Saima is survived by her beloved Husband Karl of 62 years, children, Bert (Maya) Ojalehto and family, Irma Thomas and Roxann, Hans Ojalehto and children (Susie), Clara Miller, Paula (Scott )Simonson and family, Mark Ojalehto and children (Patty),Viola Tolli and family,(Tommi Tolli), Laura and(Wayne)Parks and family, Kerry and(Michelle) Ojalehto and family, Debora (Phil)Erickson and family, Phillip and (Nicole) Ojalehto and family, and Sara Moser.
Saima was preceded in death by her two eldest children, Norman and Anita, her parents Kalle and Selma, and siblings, Mauno (Ellen) Karvonen, Lyyli (Veikko) Niemela, Hilja (Antti) Loukusa, Aaro (Marcella) Karvonen, Sylvi Karvonen.
Saima enjoyed many hobbies such as studying nutrition, gardening ,flowers were her pride and joy, crafts, walking, skiing, rowing, bicycling, and raising her large family. She also had a desire to paint.
Saima’s pleasant and loving nature gained her many friends through her life. She will be remembered for her kind heart, caring attitude, and her unrelenting patience and support to her husband and children.
