Scott Graduated from Monroe High School in 1968, then joined the Navy where he served for 10 years achieving rank of Petty Officer First Class as an Aviation Mechanic. Then retired from the retail grocery industry.
Scott is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jean Cedergreen, two sons, Richard L Root and Thomas E Root, and three grandchildren, Alyssa, Samantha and Alex.
Scott had many hobbies which included: R/C Plaines & R/C Cars, Real Classic Cars and Trucks, and then Ford Lightning pickups. He and his wife traveled across American to annual meets and races where they met many more friends.
Memorial for Scott will be planned for next spring, when the weather is better and we can lay down some rubber!
