Susan Grace Hanna was born in Modesto, California on November 18th, 1950. After moving a few times, her family settled on a beautiful 21 acre farm in Chehalis, which they named the Wheel-Bar-O, which she remembered fondly for the rest of her life. Eventually, a new chapter of her life began when she met a young officer by the name of Walter Hanna at church; before she knew it, they were married and expecting their first child. Her children soon became the center of her life as she worked diligently to give them a good education, raise them to know and love God, and instill a godly character within them. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing piano, watching birds and other animals, and spending long hours catching up with family and friends on the phone. In more recent years, she was very involved at Monroe Baptist Church and volunteered at the Monroe Women’s Mission and Monroe Christian School. She was a dedicated Christian who had a great deal of compassion, cared deeply for others, and saw the inherent value in everyone around her. She is survived by her children Isaac and Elizabeth, as well as by her siblings Rosalie, Johnny, Judy and Patty. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Walter and her sister Edith.
She passed from this life at age 73 on March 6th, 2024 at 9:05 pm and is now fully restored, free, and rejoicing in the presence of Jesus whom she loved so much.
