OBITUARY

Timothy Kent Ottow

April 11, 1953May 29, 2019

Born April 11, 1953 to Bruce and Marian Ottow. Tim resided in Western Michigan until 1990 when the family relocated to Western Washington. He has four children and nine grandchildren. Jordan Ottow (married Stephanie Ottow with their children Mia, Malia and Myla), Lee-Michael Ottow (married Kristin Ranger with their children Jackson, Malakaya, Ezekiel and Xavier), Elle Clough (married Nial Clough with their daughter Aspen) and Sam Ottow (married Shannon Supple with their daughter Hayden). Tim also leaves behind his sister, Nanette Kempski (married Brian Kempski with their children Allison, Nathan and Hayley) and brother, Ken Ottow (married Tami Ottow with their children, Shelby, Austin and Blake). Tim touched so many lives in his 66 years of life. His energy and encouragement, his joy and jokes were abundant. A familiar face at local youth wrestling and soccer events, Tim was known to many as a supportive father, intense worker and verbose fan. He was also known for his softer moments; for listening to other’s stories of trial or accomplishment, and for reaching out to the down-trodden or hurting. Tim’s children will be hosting a Celebration of Life Service at Cascade Community Church, Saturday July 13th at 10am. Please feel free to come early and find your seat.

The entire Ottow family is in my prayers.
I only knew you for the last 6 years but they were interesting. You always kept me on my toes. I think you took special pleasure in keeping me hopping. I still leave my keys in doors, some people never learn.
Your attitude, smile and behavior was always disarming so I always knew you had a great heart.
You will be missed but your memories will live on in your family and friends.

I worked with Tim at Philips. I've since moved across the country but he always had a smile and a sweet remark about how the heck am I doing all across the country. My heart goes to his family and friends. I will miss you Timmy!

I really liked Tim. When we would cross paths we'd often chat for a few minutes, sometimes sharing "grumpy old man" stories, or just shoot the breeze. Tim was a straight-shooter, and I respected his honesty and friendly nature. He was an icon here at Philips and will be sorely missed.

Give 'em heck in heaven Tim! :)

I knew Tim through working at Philips Healthcare. He was always cheerful, always greeted people with "Hello Sunshine, how are you?" and a mischievous smile. I missed that greeting since he left Philips.

Tim, now you can go and greet other heavenly souls on your way to haven. We'll miss you here.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Ottow family.
Tim was more than a fun co-worker he was my friend. I enjoyed many conversations about wrestling, baseball , youth sports , values, philosophies and creating memories in the day to day life journey . Along with with those shared words of wisdom I will always remember the many laughs and good times I shared with my friend Tim.
