and a neighbor. He was born on Sunday February the 1st 1981 to David
and Lilly Petersen. In May of 1981 Aaron's parents dedicated little baby
Aaron to the Lord. At an earlier age Aaron's mom and dad had the joy of
leading their son in receiving Christ into his heart as his Lord and savior. In
the Hebrew language Aaron's name means mountain of strength. Truly
Aaron portrayed that mountain of strength all his life. Aaron's given strength
as it reads in the Bible in Galatians is the fruit of the spirit which is love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control. Aaron was a prime example of one living his entire life in
everyone of the fruits of the spirit. Aaron loved going to church and
worshiping the Lord with his arms stretched high towards the sky. He was
definitely unique in his spiritual walk with the Lord.
When Aaron was five years old his brother Shawn was born, making
Aaron the Big Brother. Five years later his sister Analise was born, making
Aaron a Bigger Brother. Aaron would always help mommy and daddy take
care of his brother and sister. As a child Aaron loved to learn about the
characters in the Bible. Such as Samson, King David, John the Baptist and
Noah just to name a few.
When Aaron was around six years old his Sunday school was teaching
about putting on the whole armor of God which is the belt of truth, the
breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield
of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit. (Ephesians 6:
11-18). Aaron's mom and dad went out and bought him a whole armor of
God outfit to wear. Aaron really loved playing the biblical role of putting on
the whole armor of God, especially using the sword of the spirit.
All throughout his school years he loved to read, and excel in getting
good grades. Making A's and B's came easy for him. He especially loved to
read the Bible. Aaron was exceptionally creative. In fifth grade he made a
scale model of a volcano that actually erupts. His volcano received the
highest grade in the class.
Aaron attended San Gabriel Christian School in his first four years of
school. Then his mom and dad decided to home school Aaron in a
Christian home school program. In his last two years of grammar school,
Aaron attended Emery Park School in Alhambra. And went on to attend
Alhambra High School for four years and graduated in the Millennium year
2000.
When Aaron was just a baby, Aaron's dad put a baseball bat in his
hands. As Aaron grew up he had a desire to play baseball. Aaron started to
play Little League when he was only 5 years old. His dad had the
opportunity to be Aaron's coach. Aaron had a God-given talent when it
came to baseball. While playing in the Major Little League division the
coach would put Aaron into pitch with the bases loaded and nobody out,
the game on the line, and Aaron would come in and strike out the side not
allowing a run. Aaron went on to high school playing baseball receiving
Most Valuable Player and All Star awards. Not only did Aaron excel his
talent in baseball but he also showed God-given talents in other sports like
basketball, golf, water polo, rollerblading, frisbee, biking, bowling and
horseshoes just to name a few. Aaron was a natural born athlete.
Aaron was an avid true blue Los Angeles Dodger fan, attending a lot of
Dodger games with his family and friends over the years. He knew the
game very well including all the names and the stats of all the players. He
was a regular Vince Scully.
Aaron not only had a talent in baseball and other sports, but he also
was very talented in working with tools. Aaron helped his dad a lot over the
years in the many building projects that included remodeling the entire
family house. Aaron could be found all over the property as Aaron was a
natural C-Man as our late Uncle George would say.. A C-Man is a
Construction Man. Aaron would be helping put on the roof, he’d be under
the house helping with plumbing, he’d be hanging drywall, digging up trees,
roots and all just to add on to our property. Ripping apart and tearing down
the old garage to put up a new one, to name a few things. Aaron was a big
part of our 5 plus year remodeling project.
Throughout Aaron's entire life he was part of all the families and friends'
vacations, outings and activities. Such as camping, fishing, canoeing,
hiking and picnicking. Aaron really enjoyed going to the amusement parks,
like Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and Magic Mountain. One year Aaron
took a road trip visiting all the 21 Spanish missions in California. Another
year Aaron and his family took a road trip up Hwy. 49 in California called
the gold chain route. Aaron loved going to all the old historical mining
towns. Aaron loved learning California history. One other road trip Aaron
really loved was the one he took to Colorado with his family. Aaron
experienced river rafting down the Colorado River. Aaron truly loved the
great outdoors.
Aaron and his family once or twice a year took a vacation to Placerville
CA to visit his cousins who lived in the country. Throughout the years many
fun time memories were made like swinging on a big tree tire swing,
playing lots of outdoor games and swimming at the nearby river. Also when
visiting cousins in Placerville Aaron visited his grandma and grandpa
Petersen. He enjoyed helping grandma with feeding and taking care of the
doves, ducks and chickens. He also helped working in grandpa's vegetable
garden. Aaron loved visiting his other grandma and grandpa Whitehead
who lived close by in El Monte, CA. Aaron loved experiencing all the
birthday parties, celebrating Christmas, Easter and all other special
occasions. Great memories!
Aaron had a loving passion for raising and taking care of animals over
the years, which included dogs, cats, birds, fishes, and a whole lot of
Guinea pigs. At one time Aaron was taking care of 30 Guinea pigs which
he gave names to all of them. With that many Guinea pigs Aaron didn't
have to cut the backyard grass.
Aaron's personality was quite the witty comedian making people smile
and laugh. Aaron loved to tell jokes. Our family was heavenly blessed for
all the years Aaron filled us with joy and laughter. He was a regular life of
the party.
Aaron loved to listen to all kinds of music, especially Christian music,
classical and other popular music like Coldplay. Along with listening to his
favorite music Aaron was a great dancer and loved to dance to music.
Aaron left his legacy for all to follow. Aaron's legacy was that he so
clearly lived his life living by the fruit of the spirit. Our family had good
times making great memories with Aaron. Taking lots of pictures and
videos of those precious moments we experienced together. The precious
memories with Aaron and his family will live in our hearts and our minds
forever.
Later in his adult life Aaron dealt with an emotional health condition
resulting from a head injury while playing baseball. Aaron went home to be
with his heavenly father Jesus Christ on April the 1st 2025.
Aaron ran the good race and crossed the finish line into heaven giving
victory unto the Lord Jesus Christ. We love you Aaron and we will see you
again in heaven.
