Angelica Ruiz Montenegro was born July 17, 1928 in Phoenix, AZ to Elvira Tirado and Felipe Ruiz. She was the eldest of three daughters. Her family moved from Phoenix, AZ to Los Angeles where she grew up and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1942.
She married Hector Montenegro in 1952 and had three beautiful children. They settled in San Gabriel where she lived for 60years. During that time she found her passion in teaching. She embraced every student with her whole heart and found immense fulfillment in her career for the next 29 years.
She passed into heaven’s glory on July 26, 2019 and is now home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed but we do not sorrow without hope for we know we will see her again one day.
