It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved brother, Brian George Spicer, on October 1, 2025, after many years of battling pulmonary hypertension. Brian was 68 years of age, born on September 6, 1957, in Monrovia, California, to the late Robert and Patricia Spicer. He was the second of four children; two brothers preceded him in death, Stephen (Robin), Robert Jr. (Carolyn). He is survived by his sister Nancy Gaytan (Rodolfo), several nieces and nephews, the family of Calvary Road Baptist Church, and many family and friends.
Brian graduated from Pasadena High School in 1975. He was a machinist by trade for over 30 years and Amada Miyachi in Monrovia, was his last place of employment where he worked for 10 years. He married the late Dalisay Spicer in 1990 and they had no children. Brian professed his life to Christ in 1988 and has served faithfully at Calvary Road Baptist Church since that time. He faithfully preached in the convalescent home ministry since 1989, continuing until a month before his death. Brian loved praying for others, spending time with family, laughing, always having a smile on his face, and cracking jokes. He was a loving and caring person, a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend, always thinking of others first. His favorite verse was Ephesians 2:8-10.
Brian was not only a brother but also one of my closest friends and confidants. Growing up, we shared countless adventures, including building forts in the backyard and under our house, raising show rabbits, riding bikes, and going on many camping trips, to name a few. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. Brian is now in the presence of our Lord. We can take comfort in knowing that if we have received Christ as our Savior, we will see him again
