In loving memory of Duke Padget

Duke was born July 16, 1960 in Pasadena, CA to Robert & Marlene Padget. He was the youngest of 4 siblings, Carol Munoz, Robert Padget and Debbie Simon. Duke was a loving husband to Becky Padget, married 34 years and has one beautiful daughter, Heather. He enjoyed singing karaoke, fishing,& thrift store shopping and at one time he had over 100 Hawaiian shirts! He was so easy to talk to and he always liked a good joke, he was compassionate towards others, was very forgiving, affectionate and was a good listener.

Duke was a loving father and enjoyed spending time his time with friends and family. Duke was always happy and appreciated all of those cherished times. He lived a good life surrounded by love. He loved to eat and enjoyed all of the good times; followed by Adam Sandler films such as "Water Boy". Every day was filled by laughs and love, a life well lived, he was to young to die but filled with anyone's envy. He was a best friend to most, he will be missed by all who loved him.

Matthew 5:4, Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

I wish we hadn't lived across the country and had been able to see Uncle Duke more often. He was always easy going and impossible not to get along with and I wish I still had the chance to get to know him better. One of my favorite memories of California was when he took us to the Huntington pier and showed me how to catch a fish off the pier, which was one of the only times in my life I ever caught a fish. He even showed me how to handle the fish and throw it back without getting my hands cut by its sharp fins. I will miss you Uncle Duke, but I know you are in a better place now.

I can't picture my Uncle Duke without a smile. He was always in a happy mood whenever Mom would take us for a visit, and I always remember the visits being filled with laughter, Christmas time especially. When I think of Uncle Duke the first fond memory that pops to mind is the whole family being over at his place having a good time, singing karaoke , laughing. I can still picture him with a big smile on his face while singing "Man on the moon". I know wherever his spirit is now he's still got that same happy grin, that's how I'd like to remain picturing him. Rest in peace, Uncle Duke.

I will miss you my sweet sweet little brother, you taught me much about faith, love and great stength in the presence of great pain, you taught me much about humility. The greatest joy and fun were the simplest of times with you, fishing, karaoke and finding a treasure at the thrift stores. My faith in God is knowing we will all be together again. You are and always will be greatly loved by me. Until we meet again, Love Debby

I met Duke back in 2003 when I moved back to Calufornia with his sister Debby. I remember talking alot about how much he loved to fish and and all the time he was up for going to thrift stores or even yard sales. We had gone to the beach with duke, becky and heather a few times and spent the whole day there just relaxing. I think we did more people watching than actual fishing and then end the evening at Bob's big boy. I remember Duke doing work on his house or doing stuff for neighbors and Duke was just like his father being a perfectionist. Duke would ALWAYS be willing to help anybody and was always willing to talk about God if you wanted to. Duke had the upmost love for Becky and Heather and that will forever be in their hearts.
Duke you were a gentle and loving sole and your family will see you again one day. Rest well my friend .

To Becky and Heather,
Much Love and Hugs.
I know Duke was loved and truly a good person. He was joker with a happy smile on his face when you saw him. When we were younger (in the 1980s), ( and when Becky and he were dating) we would have such fun going to the beach, playing pool at my mom’s house, hiking, or hanging pool side at his moms house and so much more.. Duke was and is a good Christian; there is certainly a place for him in Heaven.
You always knew Duke loved loved loved his family and therefor I pray you RIP my Brother.
