George Dixon was born October 24, 1949 in El Reno, Oklahoma. His mother was Omia E Clouse (Dixon) (Bookout) and his father was Meryl D Dixon. George had one older sister, Leone and two younger stepbrothers, Thomas W Bookout and Billie Ray Bookout. He is preceded in death by his mother Omia, his father Meryl and his stepbrother, Thomas. He graduated from James Logan High School in Union City, CA in 1967. He enlisted in the US Army after graduation from High School and survived bootcamp at Fort Ord, CA. He was part of platoon 3. While in the military, he was trained as a fixed station transmitter repairman and was based in Thailand and Ethiopia. After leaving the service he moved to Alhambra, CA and ultimately to Pasadena, CA. George worked for a small printing firm for many years. He also worked as a bartender at Jay Dees in Alhambra, CA until his declining health mandated, he retire. George never married but had five nephews and one niece. George was a gentle, loving, loyal person. May he rest in peace.
