Juanita Ramona Childs

Juanita was born in Loretto, Minnesota on the Fourth of July, 1935 to Henry and Frances Van Lith. She grew up on a dairy farm and was always happy to share wonderful childhood memories.

Juanita (Snooks, Nita) was a devoted mother to all of her 8 children: Mark Jehning, Jerry Jehning (Loren), Colleen Donovan (John), Jeffery Jehning, Ron Jehning and Jodi Jehning and step-son Bob Childs (Debbie) and family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lell Childs and sons Joel Henry Jehning & Joel Henry II Jehning. She was an adored grandmother and great grandmother to Meghan Walker (Mike) and children Peyton & Kenzie, Jessica Ziebarth (Nathan), Joshua, Breana, Annisa and Leah Jehning, Brian and Katie Donovan. She leaves behind many relatives as the youngest of 17 siblings. She always said being a mother and grandmother changed her life for the better. All felt her love and support.

Juanita took special joy in volunteering for the March of Dimes then becoming an employee for 20 years. She had fond memories of family trips and get-togethers. As a large family there were many good times that she enjoyed. She was lovingly involved in everyone lives.

Funeral Mass to be held at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 5605 Cloverly Avenue, Temple City, California on Friday, June 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
