Kevork George Bardakjian

Kevork George Bardakjian, 79, passed away on August 12, 2026. Born on October 8, 1946, in Aleppo, Syria, Kevork was the eldest child of Krikor and Mary Bardakjian. He was raised alongside two younger siblings: his brother, Dr. Raffi Bardakjian (deceased - 2023), and his sister, Silva Bardakjian, who resides in Lebanon. From a young age, Kevork worked to help support his family—an early reflection of the steady devotion, honesty, and hard work that would define his life. He lived in Kuwait and Beirut before ultimately making his home in the United States, and he resided in Pasadena, California. For more than 50 years, he built a respected career as an auto-body technician, known for the pride he took in his work and the integrity he brought to every day.

In 1983, Kevork married Varteni Proudian. Together they raised two sons, Shant and Sevag Bardakjian, and he remained a faithful and devoted presence in their lives—generous with his time, compassionate in spirit, and unwavering in his commitment to providing for his family.

Kevork’s adventurous love of life shone through in his passion for traveling around the world, especially when those journeys were shared with family and close friends. Closer to home, he treasured simple joys as well—lingering conversations during trips to local coffee shops with cousins and dear friends. He was also an avid gardener, transforming his backyard into a paradise and taking quiet pride in sharing that beauty with the people he loved.

Kevork will be remembered as a beloved and cherished man of strong morals and remarkable work ethic—kind-hearted, decent, and steadfast. He never turned away those in need, and he lived in a way that taught by example: to work honestly, to give generously, and to meet others with compassion. He will be missed dearly.

Services will be held at Turner & Stevens-Live Oak Mortuary, 200 E Duarte Road, Monrovia, CA 91016, US. The Service will take place on August 31, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by the Committal on August 31, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.

The Bardakjian Family would like to thank all his closest friends and family who showed their love and support throughout the years, especially during the most difficult time of his sickness.
