I remember Mrs. Serotko as such an endearing and beautiful lady that I enjoyed spending time with.  One of my best memories was when we spent time at the cabin and we ate a lot of cheese nachos. 
She was a true blessing in my life and was sad to not have more time with her.   A Beautiful Lady always in my memories for sure!

 It was 2 years yesterday you went to be with the Lord. I miss you like crazy. I think back to all the things we did together, the laughs I gave you, the joys in my ife that we shared. Your strength, wisdom, knowledge and Love will forever be with me.

Mom, Have been soring cleaning and came across a box of old letters your had written me throughout the years. Must be a hundred or so. I got a kick out of reading the one where you were telling me to name my son Kai Allen......you had no idea there was a letter on its way to you that said his name would be Kai. I still remember your phone call to me the day you received it. It was the same day I received yours, on your birthday 1992. I waited a whole five days with the news I was pregnant cause I didn't want to blow the surprise. You told me you had been having dreams for a week about a grandson coming, and thats why you sent the letter. Funny how connected we were like that. 
Now I wonder if you can still feel me like I do you everyday.

Yesterday was a Wonderful day. For one I retired ..... but the best of all was being able to be at the School Board meeting in your memory of past Teacher of the Year.....
It was such an honor for me.... They honored all the past and the present Teacher of the Year.... I had no idea there had been 4 of them.....
Mom your legacy lives on, for those of you that didn't have a chance to meet you missed out.
Stepping Stones is having a plaque made for a lemon tree that was planted in your memory.....

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Mom every day is difficult without you, but today was 20 times harder. I miss everything about you........ I listened to Frank Sinatra all day thinking of you and the days we would dance in the tv room.
I miss your smile, wanting to tell me about your day, washing your hair, telling me what happened on your court shows, how the dogs acted.
I have your pictures everywhere, I know you are looking over me.... I will forever miss you.
I know you are at peace and that gives me a little relief, that you are no longer in pain and with PaPa.

Aunt Marilyn,....You became a good friend to me, and a Mentor. I got to know a side of you, that my family never got to know. You could be so cute at times. We became buddies and I treasure what we shared. You weren't just my Aunt, you were a dear friend that I loved. I'm glad that you shared your life with me, as I shared mine with you. I am so grateful that I was able to be by your side as you crossed over to the other side, with pops where I know you wanted to be. We did have some lost time but that does not change the love I have for you! You were such a huge influence in my life and did so many things for Kyle and I to help shape me into the woman I am today. Dear Family,
Marilynn was a teacher friend and I want you to know how much she influenced my decision to try the "Apple Machine".  Little did I know that her knowledge and passion helped me and so many others as we continued to work with the children in Monrovia.  Today, I would be lost without my daily adventure on my Mac as I see what friends and even former students are doing on Facebook, I can shop, communicate and even create things for others who don't have the skills.  Every time someone compliments me (a 76 year old lady), they are complimenting my teacher, Marilynn, as well.
Marilynn will be missed for her dedication, her people power,  and the many life skills she gave to others; both students and peers.  

My thoughts and prayers to her family.  May your memories help you through this difficult times

My sweet Grandmother. The summers and memories that I had the honor of sharing with you will live within me forever. It means the world to me that you were able to come out to watch me play ball. You always did say that the butterflies that passed the windows were papa and id like to believe you are now too. I know you and papa are smiling and laughing and enjoying each other to the fullest up there. You were such a strong, classy woman and I aspire to be nothing less than you as I grow up. Im working as hard as I can to make you so very proud of me and I know that every time I accomplish a goal of mine you'll be my guardian angel up there smiling that bright smile and pushing me far beyond greatness.I wish I could see the look on your face when I graduate college in the future. Marilyn was an amazing soul!  She would give her entire heart and soo patiently shared her knowledge with the computer system for MUSD. She would just "show up", whenever I needed her assistance with computer problems as it was just starting out. She taught me more than I can ever be thankful for.  She had this awesome charisma about her, a contagious smile and shinning eyes~ to me when I would see her walk in the room, it seemed to light up! Enjoyed soo many "chats" of life and memories~ Such a little itty bitty lady with such passion, eloquence, dignity and love and blessed with a most enormous heart!! As you are now in a better place of peace and joy, as you are reunited with those you love, leaving a legacy of your brilliance behind~you will be missed. Blessings of peace, comfort and love to your family and friends knowing that in HIS time, will all be gathered together in eternal bliss.

I knew and worked with Marilynn for many years while on Monroe Elementary's School Site Council.  She was always very hard working for the school and the students. She wasn't afraid to address difficult topics.  She was also very proud of her family. I'm glad she is at peace with her beloved husband.

You'll be missed. I will forever still see you every last Thursday of every August from here on out.Tonjua S.

Even though i drifted apart from you i will never forget all the good times i had during the summer with you and pops...i will love and miss you always!

My favorite memory of her was watching her give her daughter het c as kw every year that I have been sober. I will truly miss that. I think that was the only thing that really made me cry in happiness watching her do that.  To many more in heaven. Miss you dearly. I'm am terribly sorry that we list a awesome soul on this earth.
