Ronald Lavoyce Sereno Jr. was born on July 30, 1962 in Akron, Ohio. In 1967, the family relocated from Ohio to California and landed in Cudahy, Ca and eventually settled down in Bell Gardens, Ca. Ron graduated from Bell Gardens High School in 1980. Shortly after that, he set off for Bend, Oregon where he joined Job Corps. He then later returned to Southern California where he worked in sales and customer service.
Ron enjoyed working out, playing golf and attending Rock concerts. Ron was a die hard fan through and through for the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Boston Celtics, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the Miami Dolphins. In 2017, Ron left California and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be closer to his daughter and only grandchild at the time. Ron landed a job as a floor manager at the Hooter's Casino and loved what he did.
On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Ron tragically passed away at the age of 59. Ron is preceded in death by: his parents; Betty and Ron Sereno Sr., his brother Joe Sereno, and his brother-in law Mike Bradley. Ron is survived by his siblings: Bridget Sereno-Castillo, James Sereno, Maryane Hawkins (Ted), and Sherrie Sereno, his three children: Felecia Sereno, Ronald Sereno III (Alex), and Daniel Sereno; his four grandchildren: Lisa Sanchez, Rodney Sanchez, Russell Sereno, and Aurora Sereno, his nieces; Jennifer Veirs (Mike), Tiffany Sulfridge (Tim), Amanda Sereno (Michael), Crystal Bradley and Mimi Sereno, his nephews; Ernie Lindner (Alyssa), Dillon Irie, Joseph Sereno Jr. (Ranee), and Tyler Sereno and his bonus family; Mike Hawkins (Cindy), Ruth Pereira, Robert Brown and Love Sanchez. Ron will be remembered for being a devoted father and grandfather and loving his family fiercely and he will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life service for Ronald will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Turner & Stevens Live Oak Mortuary, 200 E Duarte Road, Monrovia, California 91016.
