Kenneth Alford

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Alford at the age of 81 on June 26, 2025, following a year long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Joanne, his brother Pogo (Sue), his brother Baird (Nancy), his brother-in-law Tom (Margarette) and sister-in-law Denise as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He is predeceased by his mother Helen Baird, his stepfather Dr. Lloyd Alford, his brother-in-law Artie, father-in-law Tom, and his very special mother-in-law, Marie.

Kenny was born in Ottawa and grew up in Ste. Adele. He spent 48 years at Auberge Gray Rocks as a respected barman; meeting Joanne and settling down in Mont Tremblant. He will be remembered as being patient, kind-hearted, and someone who never judged, just listened. He and Joanne opened their doors and hearts to many and in return were welcomed everywhere they travelled. Kenny was famous for his cooking and BBQ skills and loved watching sports.

A Celebration of Kenny’s life will take place on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 2-5 pm at the AX Hotel banquet room, 860 rue Lalonde, Mont Tremblant, QC. C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Kenneth Alford à l'âge de 81 ans le 26 juin 2025, après une année de lutte contre le cancer. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Joanne, qui l'aimait depuis 51 ans, son frère Pogo (Sue), son frère Baird (Nancy), son beau-frère Tom (Margarette) et sa belle-sœur Denise, ainsi que de nombreux neveux, nièces et amis de longue date. Il a été prédécédé par sa mère Helen Baird, son beau-père Dr Lloyd Alford, son beau-frère Artie, son beau-père Tom et sa belle-mère très spéciale, Marie.

Kenny est né à Ottawa et a grandi à Sainte-Adèle. Il a passé 48 ans à l'Auberge Gray Rocks en tant que barman respecté. Il a rencontré Joanne et s'est installé à Mont-Tremblant. On se souviendra de lui comme une personne patiente, au grand cœur et qui ne jugeait jamais, se contentant d'écouter. Joanne et lui ont ouvert leur porte et leur cœur à de nombreuses personnes et, en retour, ils ont été chaleureusement accueillis partout où ils sont allés. Kenny était réputé pour ses talents de cuisinier et de grillardin et il adorait regarder les sports.

Une célébration de la vie de Kenny aura lieu le lundi 4 août 2025, de 14 h à 17 h, à la salle de banquet de l'hôtel AX, 860, rue Lalonde, Mont-Tremblant (Québec).
