Caroline's Grandmother, Natalie's Grandmother, & Terry's beloved Mother & Pauline's Mother, Alberta Vasquez, was affectionately known as MIMA.  Caroline named her MIMA when she was just a baby and somehow it was adopted by family members and close family friends as a term of afffection & endearment towards Alberta.  
  
I have personally known Alberta for 15 years.  She was a very special person, a good mother & a loving wife with a strong character, and very religious .  She also loved Robinson's where she was a hardworking & prized employee until her retirement and that she was very proud of.  After retiring she loved to garden everyday and took pride in her home. 

And,one of her favorite things to do was read autobiographys on famous people and what always surprised me, was Mima was a expert on the British Royal family, she knew everything about them, I'm from england & she knew more than me ...she knew everything about the Kennedys, Liz Taylor,& many other celebrities..She was a very curious person & loved to talk about what she knows.    

 Caroline saw her Grandmother almost every day for the last 40 years and she learned alot from her grandmother and they shared alot of special moments & special times together. Mima was an amazing cook, she made the most delicious potato & cheese soup, which was Terry's favorite.  And, when Caroline was sick throughout the years, Mima would bring over her homemade authentic Albondigas soup,which always seemed to heal her.  


And when Caroline had surgery, Mima was there to help her & for that I will always be very grateful.  
    Mima was a wonderful person & she will be missed.  Not only by her family, but by Evelyn, her loving nurse & caretaker for the last 4 years of her life.  And she will be missed by her neighbors who have known her & her family for many many years. 

  It seems theres not a day that goes by in the last 12 years that Caorline hasnt refered to her Grandfather, Heladio Vasquez, TATA in some way.  She still misses him so very much & Terry constantly talks about her beloved father.  And what brings a smile upon their faces today is that their beloved TATA will not be alone anymore, and MIMA will get to see her mother who she lost at a very young age when she was just a little girl.  
  MOthers & fathers hold their childrens hands for just alittle while,
  and their hearts FOREVER.
  May the road rise to meet you
  May the wind be always at your back.
  May the sun shine warm upon your face
  May the rain fall upon your fields
  And until you and your family meet again
  MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND.
