There simply is not enough space to talk about my relationship with Alex. I met him in the sixth grade. By the time Alex and I were in the ninth grade, I am sure Jim wanted to use me as a deduction for being a fourth child! Alex and I had many, many good times. Most of which I cannot share. I watched Tricia and Patrick grow up. Mrs. Martinez was the hot mom and Mr. Martinez taught me about the value of hard work. After spending a summer laying carpet with Alex and Mr. Martinez, I made up my mind that I needed to go to college so I could use my brain instead of my muscles!! Alex, I love you and I miss you. I am sorry we grew apart as we grew older. My condolences go out to Leslie, Nicole, and the children. To Pat and Jim, thank you for all you did to help me grow into the man that I have become. My heart felt condolences go out to you. Tricia and Patrick, I have heard you have grown to be fine adults. I am sorry that you had to bury your brother at such a young age. I Wish for the two of you much success and to never forget the importance of family. To Alex, I love you brother. God bless your soul.

Deep, deep peace to Alex's family.  I still talk about our days on the drumline and going to see Chuck Mangione at the Hollywood Bowl with your parents.

I remember Alex Martinez from Cal Hi as the Drum Major for the Band and Soccer player. Very nice and friendly guy. My sincere condolences to his family and all who knew and loved him. *Prayers*.

Alex was a good friend & fellow drummer, he came up with some of the funniest songs I have ever heard. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, RIP Alex

I remember Alex as a kind and sweet person.  I'll never forget him leading the Calhi Band as the assistant drum major.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.  RIP Alex.

Alex, I am at a loss for words. A very sad shock to hear about your passing. You were a huge part of my Life, In so much and so many many ways..I love your Family so much, we all had so many memories, a big reason why I ended up in Long Beach. The Ocean, a place I love so much and you did too...
