Candelario Rodarte, our dear father and grandfather, passed away on the 1st of July 2026 at the age of 99. He was born in Los Angeles on the 30th of September 1926. He was the first generation American born in his family and was very proud of that. He loved history whether it was stories of Los Angeles, The USA, Pirates or Cowboys. But most of all he enjoyed sharing stories of his childhood and family. He was a dapper man always trying to look his best. He loved the casino, he enjoyed the sounds and the lights, on occasion the wins. He walked through the house whistling, singing or simply shouting “San Antone!”. He taught us the value of hard work, honesty, and the lost art of listening.
Candy was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Susie Rodarte and his Daughter Sandra Heithcock. He is survived by his two sons James Rodarte and Jerry Rodarte; his daughter Cynthia Razo: his grandchildren Michael Heithcock, Valarie Heithcock, Candice Heithcock, Jordan Rodarte, Gabrielle Bejarano, Adam Razo and Anthony Razo; his great grandchildren Timothy Sandoval, Samantha Glaus and Sasha Fuentes.
