

David "Bobby" Montanez Jr., aged 77, a resident of El Monte, California, entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2024. Born on November 17, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, he was a man of honor and integrity, cherished by his beloved wife, Yolanda Montanez, and revered by his sons, David Montanez Jr. II, Michael A. Montanez, and Robert E. Montanez, as well as his daughter-in-law, Sarah Montanez. His legacy continues through his grandsons, Nathaniel Eli Montanez and Lucas Elijah Montanez.
David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1970, a period during which he demonstrated unwavering commitment and valor. Upon returning to civilian life, he embarked on a distinguished career in management within the Aerospace Engineering sector at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing.
An alumnus of Montebello High School and Rio Hondo College, David was a faithful congregant of St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Puente, CA. His devotion to his faith was a testament to his character and served as a guiding light throughout his life.
David's passions extended beyond his professional and spiritual life. He was an enthusiastic model builder, a skillful golfer, an ardent fisherman, an adventurous camper, an excellent internet poker competitor, and a strategic player of both billiards and chess.
David's presence will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will remain in the hearts of those he touched. May he find peace in the arms of the Almighty.
