Bertha Mae Nix

Bertha Mae leaves behind wonderful memories and daughters, Debra Lunsford and Sandra Nix; six grandchildren; Patrick Nix, Timothy Mills, Kayla Mills, Joshua Nix, Jessica Nix, Jonathan Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Kayson and Alexa Edwards; sister, Earlene Burke; brothers, Ralph Holsomback (Gloria) and Charles Brownlee; and brother-in-law, Alton Nix.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Nix, Sr., her son, Eddie Lee Nix Jr; parents, Earl Holsomback, and Essie Mae and John Brownlee; sister-in-law, Mary Brownlee; and brothers-in-law, Ralph Burke and David Nix.

Bertha Mae worked for years at Montevallo First Baptist Church and the University of Montevallo Tea House. She was a long time member of Montevallo First Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Montevallo First Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery. Pastor, Brother Todd Burr officiating.
