Billy Lamar Goff, age 88, of Calera, Alabama passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Billy was born September 10, 1932. Billy served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army and served from 1953 - 1955 in the Korean War. Billy spent 40+ years at ABC Rail before his retirement in 1996. Outside of work Billy was an avid hunter, a farmer, and a family man. He enjoyed spending his retirement raising cows. He loved all children and treated them as if they were his own. He loved to spoil his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If anyone of the kids was in need, Billy was always there

Billy is preceded in death by his soul mate and beloved wife of 62 years, Garnett Goff; parents, Odell and Marie Goff; brother, James Goff; sisters, Linda Dudley, Jean Ware, Peggy Langstan, and Darnell White.

Billy is survived by his children, Kevin Howze (Michelle), Joanna Morrison (Hugh), and Chris Smith (Tanya); 6 grandchildren, Mike Watts (Ashley), Brian Watts (Jordan), Christian Smith (Justin), Cole Smith, Faith Howze, and Clay Hannah; 5 great- grandchildren, Colby Hannah, Chloe Hannah, Ryder Smith, Rhyan Smith, and A.J. Watts; brother, Johnny Goff; sisters, Rebecca Snell, Janice "Lucy" Lusk, Lynn Bentley; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Billy will be held Monday, October 12, 2020 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, Alabama. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM, Montevallo, Alabama, a committal service will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
