Brian Ralph Epperson, age 61, of Randolph, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Brian was born February 14, 1960 in Alabaster Alabama to Ralph Epperson and Alma Weeks. He was raised in Bibb County along with 5 siblings. Ralph graduated from Bibb County Highschool in 1978 and went to work for ABC Rail until they closed in in the late 90's. After which Brian quickly found work as a supervisor for Cahaba Timber. Brian wasn't afraid of hard work, he liked to get his hands dirty, and always believed in leading by example. When he wasn't working you could find Brian at the creek, the pond, or the river, with pole in hand or with his grandkids who were the light of his life. He loved to have fun, he loved to be funny and the grandbabies could not have asked for a better Papa.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Alma Epperson; and brother - in - law, Jim Lay.
He is survived by his children; Brian Epperson Jr (Jennifer), Tanya Davis (Terry), and Brittany Honeycutt (Tyler); grandchildren; Brianna Epperson, Brian Epperson III, Miracle Headley, Emily Epperson, Abby Epperson, Clyde Epperson, Clyde Mathis, Austin Mathis, Brodie Mathis, Devin Mathis, Ashlyn Davis, London Moten, Alex Bearden, and Dylan Bearden; mother of his children; Belinda Nix Epperson; brothers, Roger Epperson (Mary Ann), Bruce Epperson (Connie), Tommy Epperson (Reva); sisters, Charlett Hoover (Bill), and Elaine Lay; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Brian was generous to a fault. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He never met a stranger and made so many life long friendships in his journey on this Earth. Most importantly he developed a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior and we know today he is looking down on us from Heaven.
A visitation for Brian will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Union Springs Baptist Church, Randolph, Alabama followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. A comittal service will occur Monday, August 23, 2021 at Shady Grove Cemetery, Randolph, Alabama.
