Buster George Blair

Buster George Blair, age 76, of Jemison, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Buster was born March 19, 1946 to Carey Blair and Sally Baiden Blair. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He spent 39 years of his life as a coal miner. He loved music, animals and beer, but most of all, being Paw Paw to his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Blair; his parents; and his siblings, Arlene, Faye, Janet, Betty Jo, Kay and Hassie. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Blair (Amy) of Alabaster, Alabama, and Josh Blair (Julie) of Columbiana, Alabama; daughters, Anna Pittroff (Steve) of Marysville, Ohio, and Debbie Bryant (Frank Corcorkon) of Wilmington, North Carolina; stepchildren, Sandy, Susie, Teresa, Butch and Dowdy; grandchildren, Brett, Stephen, Sabrina, Sedric, Elaina, Zane, Vicky(bug), Joe "Little Man" and Campbell; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Clara Rose; and grand-dogs, Honey and Beau.

A Celebration of Life for Buster will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115. Casual attire preferred.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Shelby Humane Society.
