Carlos Alexander Demora, age 40, of Helena, Alabama passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Carlos was born February 21, 1980 in Gadsden, Alabama. Carlos was a combat veteran with the United States Army where he served as a Specialist E-4. His Military Education includes; Basic NCO CRS, CBR Officer basic, Combat Life Savers CRS, SM UAV (RAVN) OPR, CRS, and Warrior Leaders CRS. Medals and ribbons he earned during his service include; the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with a Campaign Star, A Non- Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Expert Infantryman Badge. Carlos was a loving husband, father of 3, son, and brother. He had a love for life and the Lord, he always kept his bible close at hand and readily shared his faith with those seeking knowledge.
Carlos is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carlos Ernesto and Patricia Oropeza Demora; uncle, Carlos Arnesen; Aunts, Mary Eugenia Arnesen and Chavy Rosquete Demora; cousin, Ernesto Demora; as well as countless brothers and sisters in Arms.
Carlos is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years Nikki Demora; children, Carlos Emmanuel Demora, Britt Nicolas Demora, and Cali Alexandra Demora; mother, Alexandra Arnesen; Carlos Demora (Kathy); grandparents, Alfredo J. Arnesen and Mery Cortez Lamas; brothers, Christopher Michael Demora, Michael Baez, Jonathan Baez, and German Baez; sister, Tiffany Arnesen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.
A committal service will be held on Monday September 14, 2020 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama at 12:30 pm. For those Unable to attend the service will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/RockcoFuneralHome/
