Caroline Marie Henry

Caroline Marie Neese Henry, age 76, of Calera, Alabama, passed away at home surrounded by family on January 15, 2020. She grew up in Norristown, Pennsylvania, the oldest of three daughters born to Grant and Mary Neese. She married John Samuel Henry, by his side as he served in the US Navy on the USS Tripoli. They raised their young family in Helena, Alabama. Carol was a member of Kingwood Church in Alabaster where she was part of the Nifty Fifty group and taught children's Sunday School. She was a generous giver who loved to cook for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Robyn Harris and Kayla Cummings; and her sister, Joyce Neese. Left to treasure her memory are her husband, John Henry; daughters, Cammie Gustin (Chris), Barbara Mills, and Joy Cummings (Steve); sons, John Henry, Jr. and Bruce Henry (Renee); thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Culpepper (Clarence); and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Amanda, Crystal and Deanna for their compassionate care.

A committal service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 12:30 PM at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
