Carolyn Wilson Compton, age 77 of Calera, AL passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Huey and Luesta Wilson; sister, Jean Frost; brother, Billy Wilson. Carolyn was known across the community for her love for flowers within her business. She is survived by her loving husband for 60 years, Earl Russell Compton; daughters, Debra Frye (Wayne), Janice Smith, and Margaret Doss; son, Russell Compton (Betty Gail); sister, Gwen Thomas (David); brother-in-law, E.G. Frost; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Carolyn’s viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 12-2 PM at Enon Baptist Church in Montevallo with her service starting at 2 PM in the church.
