Charles Erskine Baxley peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the age of 90. His services will be held Saturday June 1, 2019 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Clara Faye Baxley, and children William Malone (Ruth), Cynthia Poole (Greg), and Michelle Malone Cain and grandchildren Liam Malone, Angus Malone, Coleman Poole, Caleb Poole, Jordan Poole, Angela Croushorn (John), Sarah Stewart, Allen Charles Cain, and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Luise Palmer, and his brother, James William Baxley. He was a member of the Calera Church of Christ and a life-long Christian man who devoted his life to the service of God. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, and he retired from South Central Bell in 1989.
