Charles L. Harper, age 86, died December 21, 2014. Charles was born January 8th, 1928 in Gotebo, Oklahoma to Walter and Bessie Harper and lived his adult life in Bessemer and Calera, Al. He retired from Continental Can Co. His military service was with the First Marine Air Wing, Peiping, China. He was predeceased by his wife, June, his son Randy, his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his sister, Freda Doriety, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00.
