Charles "Billy" Killingsworth

Charles "Billy" Killingsworth, age 89, of Montevallo, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home with his family on August 20, 2018. He served in the US Army during WWII, and then got his diploma from the University of Montevallo on the GI Bill. He spent most of his working life driving 18 wheelers, and retired as an owner/operator. He loved to fish and watch Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Killingsworth and Mallie Horton Killingsworth; his wife of 59 years, Betty Jewel Partridge Killingsworth; grandson, Jacob Daniel Killingsworth; five brothers; and six sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Jo Killingsworth (Mark Owings); son, Charles "Chuck" Killingsworth (Janet); grandchildren, April, Stacy, and Jamie; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Buster Killingsworth and Frank Killingsworth (Lela).

The family wishes to express their thanks for the sweet care of Comfort Care Hospice.

A wake will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). His funeral service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Providence Baptist Church, lying in state beginning at 10:00 AM. Bro. Allen Foster will officiate and burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
