Craig Andrew Ward Beloved son, brother and friend suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at the early age of 42. Craig was adopted by Charles A. and Barbara Elliott Ward at the age of 2. He was a member of the Rosebud Sioux Native American Tribe. He was a Norcross Ram and Duluth Wildcat, playing different positions on the football field. He put in many hours of training to become a commercial diver and was an underwater welder, until he was unfortunately injured. He was incredibly kind-hearted and always helpful to his mother. He was a jokester at most times, whether telling jokes or playing pranks. He was serious, however, when it came to cheering on the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Ward; and grandparents, Percy and Aver Ward, and F. D. and Edith Elliott. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Dabbs (Tom) of Alabaster; sisters, Lisa Ward of Atlanta and Amy Thompson (Stephen) of Panama City; brother, Matt Ward (Jeniffer) of Ft. Walton Beach; five nieces and nephews; aunt, Linda Mills; and uncles, David Ward (Jongy), Bobby Ward (Fontaine), Jack Ward (Cathy) and Billy Ward.
Craig will have a Celebration of Life on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). The family will receive friends one hour to the service.
