David Wayne "Bubba" Holloway, Jr., age 9, of Montevallo, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2020. He was a student at Montevallo Elementary, where he was in the GRC program. Bubba was a high-energy kid, who loved Alabama football, shooting his BB gun, going in the woods, playing games, whether board games or online games. His passion was Fortnite, where he got his favorite colors, pink and purple. He hated homework but he was a great student. He was usually mild mannered, unless someone messed with his sister or brothers. He loved going out with Nana on their adventures. He was a picky eater, but he loved chicken, spaghetti, peanut butter sandwiches and Nutty Buddies, or any kind of cheese or jerky. Bubba had a giving heart, always putting other people's needs above his own. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lonnie "Poppa Angel" Duncan; and great-grandparents, Thomas Pat Lucas and Jewel Marie Lucas, Rosie Duncan Terry, and Dalton Haywood Duncan. Left to treasure his memory are his parents, Jody and David Holloway, Sr.; brothers, Zachary Holloway and Ashton Price; sister, Alonnie Jane "AJ" Holloway; grandparents, Donna and Floyd Tonnemacher, and Nancy and Herb "Tid" Holloway; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). A Celebration of Bubba's Life will be on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with burial to follow at Reynolds-Randall Cemetery in Montevallo. The family requests guests dress casual, wearing pink, purple or Fortnite, if desired.
