Deborah Williams Blake, 75, of West Blocton, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on May 28, 2026. Born in Ensley, Alabama. She was the cherished daughter of the late Jack Edward Williams and Bobbie Jean Coats.
Deborah was a vibrant soul who never met a stranger. With a personality that could light up any room she walked into, she brought joy and warmth to everyone she met. She took great pride in her appearance, always ensuring her beautiful skin and hair were perfectly styled—she simply never left the house "unfixed." Throughout her life's journey, Deborah found immense comfort, strength, and peace in her deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
For most of her life, Deborah poured her creativity and care into her career as a devoted hairdresser. Later in life, she found a wonderful second chapter working at Home Depot, where her outgoing nature allowed her to make countless dear friends.
Above all, Deborah’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Lennis Blake; her devoted children, Leigh Anne Barrett (Shane) and Donald Evan Short (Connie); and the absolute highlights of her life, her four adored grandchildren: Bailey and Morgan Barrett, and Silas and Clara Short. To her grandchildren, she was a source of endless love and pride.
Deborah was deeply loved by her family, friends, and community, and her radiant spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service for close friends and family will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
