Edna Mae Smith Edwards, age 74, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Edna was born January 23, 1947 to James Edward and Lou Ellen Smith.

Edna was a long time member of Community Baptist Church. She was well loved and treasured by everyone she met. She had a contagious, sweet spirit.

Edna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Elmer Clinton Edwards; grandson, Isaac Johnson; parents; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and daughter in law, Tricia Edwards.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer McCoy of Montevallo; Jan (Michael) Dye of Montevallo, and Karen (Danny) Johnson of Wilton; son, Jay Edwards of Clanton; granddaughters, Brittney (Frankie) Fowler, Courtney (Daniel) Goodwin, Sarah (Kenneth) Jarvis, Andriah (Les) Hunter, Jr., and Reagan Edwards; grandsons, Ryan Edwards, William Edwards, Scott Dye, and Andy Dye; great grandsons, Jakob Fowler and Mason Fowler; and a host of family, friends, and cherished church family.

A visitation for Edna will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Community Baptist Church, 147 Abbey Ln, Brierfield, Alabama. The funeral will occur Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Bro. James Smitherman officiating and the burial will follow at Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
