Edward Isbell, Jr., age 52, of Calera, Alabama, passed away after battling numerous health issues for several years on May 31, 2020. Edward was born to Edward "Buck" Isbell, Sr. and Jewel Hazel Baker, and was raised in Jemison by Arlin Earl Isbell and Sara Ellen Isbell.
Battling mental and physical health issues unfortunately took a toll on his relationships with those he loved most. He would want them to know that they were always in his heart. He put it in God's hands and prayed to be reunited.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Isbell of Jemison; son, Cody Morris of Shelby; sister, Paula Stallworth Isbell of Jemison; and brother, Johnny Kelley of Tennessee. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lorrie Isbell; children, Keith Isbell Davenport of Clanton, Kendall Isbell Davenport of Clanton, Kelby Anne Isbell of Tennessee, Lance Edward Isbell of Calera, Kane Landon Isbell of Calera; four grandchildren; siblings, Ricky Isbell, Julie Ann Kelley, Edward Charles Trout, Jay W. Isbell, and Emily Anne Isbell; adopted siblings, Donna Walker Isbell, Marty Lynn Taylor, Preston Blackerby and Glenda Arlene Isbell; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; close friends, Angie Henry, E. J. Lambert, Shawn "Ninja" Williams and Buddy Roop.
Edward loved fishing, hunting, music, singing and dancing. He never missed a chance to say "War Eagle" and treasured his trips to Jordan-Hare Stadium. But he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He was always a devoted brother, and was grateful for a second chance to be a good husband to Lorrie and father to Lance and Kane. He was their strength and support, and his death will leave a hole in their hearts that can never be filled.
