Evelyn Smith Vick, age 75, of Montevallo, passed away February 9, 2015 surrounded by her family. Evelyn loved nothing more than spending time with her family, and making quilts for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Quention Vick; son, Jimmy Scurlock; granddaughter, Amy Scurlock; and brothers, Herman Smith and Buddy Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Blackmon (Buddy), Gail Turner (Bill) and Janet Parks (Jerry), all of Helena; son, Billy Scurlock (Karen) of Vincent; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Parrott, Edith Shaw, Faye Andrews and Billie Beersdorf; and first husband and father of her children, G. W. Scurlock.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Funeral services will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
