A native of Hawaii, she graduated from St. Anthony’s in Maui and went on to work as a Cryptographer for the US Army. She was an amazing athlete, as a basketball player in high school and the US Army; as well as a recreational softball player until she was 45 years of age. She retired from Research Solvents and Chemical Solutions in Pelham, Alabama, after over 25 years. She was a RSVP member for over 16 years, and an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Through the years, Flo and her husband, Clifford, loved RV camping. She also loved the water, especially the ocean, she taught many how to swim and some to body surf. Flo loved flowers and enjoyed gardening as well.
Flo was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Clifford Lawley; and her siblings, John Ino and Frances Ino. She leaves behind two children, Kevin W. Lawley (Debbie) and Robyn L. Lawrence (Matt); grandchildren; Jakob Lawrence and Mia Lawrence; siblings Jules Ino, Paulette Koki, Anne Gould, and Jimmy Ino; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A committal service will follow at 12:30 PM at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
