

Freddie Taylor Shoults, age 85, of Brent, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Freddie was born to George Shoults and Etta Mae (Hall) Shoults in Maplesville, AL where he was raised with a host of siblings. He was a graduate of Maplesville High School after which he began a career with the
State Highway Department as a Traffic Engineer. After 37 years, Freddie retired at the age of 57. He spent his remaining days hunting, fishing, and being the best husband, father, and "granddaddy" he could be. Freddie was also a life-long member of Brent Baptist Church.
Freddie is preceded in death by his parents, George and Etta Mae; as well as his beloved daughter, Kathy Shoults; and his siblings.
Freddie is survived by his soul mate and loving wife of 65 years, Betty (Hobson) Shoults; son, Mike Shoults (Frieda); grandchildren, Dawson Shoults, Alayna Shoults, and Will Shoults; along with a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Brent Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 am. Pastor Ken Fuller to officiate. The family requests any floral deliveries be made to Brent Baptist Church, 2446 Main Street, Brent, AL
