Houston "Buddy" Wesley Pearson Jr., age 72, of Brierfield, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025. Buddy was outgoing. He was an avid Alabama fan, and he enjoyed watching games with all of his friends and family. Football season isn't going to be the same without him. He loved his grandkids and would do anything for anyone. He was a great husband, father and Paw Paw, and will be deeply missed.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Pearson and Billie J. Horton; brother, Johnny Pearson; and sister, Ann Pearson. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Pearson; son, Wesley Pearson (Crystal); grandchildren, McKayla Pearson, Evan Pearson, Macey Pearson, and Kelsey Haley; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Brown; sisters, Renate Layson (Mike), Jeanette Simmons (Dale), and Kem Ainsworth (Craig); brother, Tony Pearson; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Bamberg and Nathalie Self; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Buddy will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Pineland Memorial Park, Centreville, AL 35042. Pallbearers are Evan Pearson, Clint Donner, Josh Jackson, Tony Brown, Cody Brown, Heath Simmons, and Glenn Bamberg.
